Our 56th Annual Church Bazaar will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 3th and July 4th, 2010.  A large crowd is expected to come to enjoy the great food and games to be featured on both days, as well as the taiko performance at noon on Sunday.

41ST ANNUAL BCA FBWA CONFERENCE HELD

A crowd of nearly 500 delegates attended the BCA FBWA conference recently held in Sacramento. The program included excellent talks by The Rev. Diane Johnson from Oregon, and The Rev. Mariko Nishiyama, from Hawaii. The Walnut Grove BWA is pleased eleven delegates represented our chapter, actively participated, and enjoyed the very worthwhile conference.

NEW REFRIGERATOR FOR THE GAKUEN

Sanctioned by the Church Board, Pres. Craig Nakahara used church funds to purchase and install a new refrigerator in the Gakuen kitchen. The Gakuen's old refrigerator was on its last leg and sorely in need of a replacement. As the prime and frequent user of the Gakuen facilities, it is fitting that we filled the need. Gakuen, the property of the Delta Japanese Community Association, has the only room, and grounds, readily available for our church's social functions. The current president of the Delta Japanese Community Assn. is our Sensei Roy E. Mayhugh.
